Baby Shower Fun!

In August we went to the Tri-Cities for our second baby shower. At this point we were 34 weeks along and still needed to get quite a bit done before our little guy's arrival! The shower was a wonderful event thrown by my best friend, Brittani, and my sister, Breanna, with the help of both of our families. It was great to spend time with everyone who attended and we really appreciated all of the warm thoughts and well wishes! I feel like I am constantly repeating this, but we feel so blessed to have the love and support of so many people as we embark on this exciting (and scary) new journey! Here are a few pictures taken at the shower, the decorations turned out so cute!

 

This cake that my mom had made was so adorable! Since the picture is a little hard to see, it reads, "Someone special, someone dear, Landen James is almost here!"

My Grandma Jeannie helping to set up the diaper cake she made for the shower (there is a close up below)! We were so thrilled that she and my Grandpa made the long trip from Chicago to be here for the celebration. Just another reason little Landen is one lucky boy...he has so many people that love him!

 My mom must have received the memo that I was craving an ice cream cake, so she made sure there was one at the shower for me!

 My Aunt Kindra made the trip all the way from Minnesota for the baby shower. She and Breanna worked hard on all of the decorations, and they turned out great! Thank you so much for coming, it was wonderful to see you and Corey!

The shower turned out to be a wonderful party, and Landen came away with so many gifts that we couldn't fit them all back in the car for the drive home! We were so excited to receive a large number of diapers in all sizes, so hopefully we will be set for quite some time! Thank you again to all who attended and/or sent their loving thoughts our way! We are now much more prepared for our little guy's arrival and can't wait for him to meet all of the people who love him so much!
